Students will have the skills needed to apply for an automotive apprenticeship or similar engineering pathway. These qualifications allow candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and career progression in the automotive industry.
This programme involve candidates studying both the theory and practical aspects of light vehicle maintenance including health and safety and other skills associated with working in a garage and this blend ensures a diverse range of learning opportunities for candidates. In addition, it covers diagnosis and rectification of engine and component faults, chassis system faults, transmission faults and auxiliary electrical equipment faults.
Upon completion of the programme, candidates may enter employment or may wish to progress onto further courses in the industry.
